I believe that therapy should be a unique and tailored experience to meet each client’s wants and needs. My approach to therapy is to work on understanding the client and their needs while building a trusting therapeutic relationship. As those goals are being met, the client and I will develop a collaborative, individualized plan to address the client’s issues. My therapeutic approach is grounded mainly in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where I am able to help clients recognize thought and behavior patterns that could be changed in order to make lasting improvements to their daily lives.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduated from Loyola University Chicago with my Master of Social Work. While in school, I completed clinical training in various social work settings, spending the majority of my time providing outpatient psychotherapy to teens and adults at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL. After obtaining my MSW, I worked in a community mental health setting for 3.5 years on the North Side of Chicago. While working in community mental health, I provided services including therapy and counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention, case management, linkage and referral to needed services, and facilitated collaboration with other medical providers in a community based setting. This position gave me a wide base of experience which will help me to improve the lives of my clients going forward.
